Know what your competitors are doing

GDS realizes that an important factor of successful branding is offering something unique, that visitors cannot get closer to home. We believe that knowing what the competition is doing is critical to developing a compelling brand. We research the following:

1. Neighboring destinations' visitor attractions, lures and brands - what not to duplicate

2. Neighboring destinations' visitor arrival counts and profiles

3. Finding U.S. towns or areas that may already have brands similar brand concepts we are considering, and whether or not they share the same market.

4. National searches for representative "best in class" case studies of possible brand concepts that demonstrate how the brand can be developed.

5. National searches for logos and slogans similar to potential brand logos and slogans, before we recommend them.
